Like all of my custom furniture, this one started out as an idea born out of necessity. It grew from an idea to plans on paper to a work in progress to the final finished product. Here is a shot during the initial construction, which doesn't hardly resemble the piece on the wall.
It seems like I never get tired of staring at the natural character of distressed wood.
